Loretto School, Edinburgh
Loretto School, founded in 1827, is one of Britain’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools, and Scotland’s oldest boarding school. Set in 85 acres this leafy campus is in Musselburgh, a few minutes’ walk from the high street and just 25 minutes by bus from Edinburgh city centre.
The accommodation at Loretto School consists of twin bedrooms and shared bathroom facilities in on-site boarding houses. There are common rooms in each boarding house also.
The wide range of facilities on offer at this centre include sports fields, astro-turf pitches, tennis courts, sports hall and theatre, making it a great centre for our MLI summer programme.
Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, offers a nice blend of the historic and modern with the UNESCO World Heritage site at the heart of the city and its award-winning, modern architecture bringing together a thriving cultural scene.
The mysterious winding streets, elegant terraces, stunning viewing points, shops and restaurants give students plenty to explore during their stay in Edinburgh. The historic Lothian region with its stately homes, dramatic castles and medieval chapels all provide a sense of Scotland’s impressive history.
